The old adage of “wherever you go, there you are” is certainly true. When you are going 1,000 miles an hour and earning your Busy Badge, you may not be working towards real progress. I’ve worn that badge before, going quickly and productively, but not intentionally.

As CEOs and owners of businesses, you can be the Sheriff of busy town. I’ve seen that the busier a leader is, the less the business moves forward. It’s a paradox, but it’s true. So what can you do about it?

John Ramstead, a former Navy Top Gun pilot who also happens to have a top 5 Leadership podcast, was at our Advance Leadership Workshop last week. He and Acumen CEO, Drew Hiss, got a chance to sit down one on one with John to discuss how going slow can help you grow and go faster.
